Terms of Service
1. About The Trade Network
The Trade Network ('TTN', 'we') is an online directory and job board connecting homeowners in Dorset with local tradespeople. We are not a party to any agreement between a homeowner and a trade; any contract for work is made directly between you and the trade you choose.
2. Homeowner accounts
Homeowner accounts are free. You agree to provide accurate details when posting a job, not to post unlawful or abusive content, and to treat trades professionally. You can edit or close your jobs at any time.
3. Trade memberships
Trade membership is a simple one-off sign-up that includes everything described above — there are no per-lead fees or commissions. Trades must hold any qualifications, certifications and insurance they claim on their profile, and must keep profile information accurate and up to date.
4. No endorsement
We do not vet or guarantee the quality, safety or legality of work carried out by trades listed on TTN. You should carry out your own checks before agreeing to any work.
5. Ending your account
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these terms.
Privacy Policy
What we collect
We collect the details you give us when you sign up (name, email, phone number and postcode) and the content of the jobs you post. Trades additionally provide business details, coverage areas and portfolio images.
How we use it
Your details are used to run the service: showing your job to relevant local trades, letting you know when a trade registers interest, and operating your account. Your full address and contact details stay private until you choose to contact a trade.
Who we share it with
Job titles, descriptions, areas and postcode districts are visible to trade members while a job is open. We never sell your personal data.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it at any time by contacting info@socialpeak.co.uk.
